I'm so confused! Our theme is butterflies..but they won't be all over, just small touches here and there. I haven't seen any invites with butterflies that I like....Our colors are Indigo (with touches of lavenders and silver).
Do I have to match my colors? I haven't seen anything I like in those colors really...
I'm beginning to hate invites!

i really dont think you have to match your colors, if you do then fine but if not then really not a problem. Honestly, by the time ppl get to your wedding they wont remember what color your invites were and it wont even cross their mind, they wont walk into your Rh, see your color scheme and think 'oh no her invites didn't match'
go with what you like.
I fell in love with celadon green invites, and said screw color scheme. Unfortunately couldn't order them to get to me in time ...then i found other invites I LOVE, it was actually my color scheme but i didnt pick it bc of that i just liked the invite

I saw a nice invite from Krepe Kraft that was a layered invite. The bottom layer was indigo, the print was indigo, the invite itself was white and there was an indigo bow.
Maybe look into layered invites?

You're right. Can you imagine if somone did say 'oh her invites don't match?'
I need to get on this. It took us hours to pick out the eparty invites and we only decided because I took all the books away fro FH and my mom and said 'we're getting these'

The invites don't necesarily have to be done in your wedding colors. I think maybe you can use neutral colors or whatever you like. Maybe a butterfly watermark somewhere on the invite or as part of your monogram?

Hey,
I just checked out their website. The layered ones are NICE. I sent a request for them to send me authorized dealers. Did you see them online or in a store?

I originally wanted to have an Autumn-themed invitation, but couldn't find any I liked. So instead, I'm including a short poem about getting married during Autumn. Maybe you can find or create a poem about butterflies to inlcude in your invites.

I was having an awful time with invites, yesterday I finally went to EZ Calligraphy (because they were having a great sale) and picked a neutral color with a bow. My FH was tired of me stressing about this.

in store - Sweet Nut Hut in Deer Park - their prices were a little more than Birchcraft, less than Encore.
Figure around $750 for 150 invites...

Re: Questin re:invites..
yea invites were by far the hardest thing to find for me! I went through a ton until I got a recommendation on a graphic designer who was able to help me
