Question.. 10 yr reunion location

Question.. 10 yr reunion location

i heard that my 10 yr reunion might be at a club in NYC.. what are your thoughts on that?

Honestly, as it is its a 10 yr reunion and i was iffy on going, but now hearing that it might be at a club in the city.. FH and I really dont want to go (We both graduated together.. so its his 10 yr too) I feel like people should be able to talk, a club is so loud and NYC is just such a hassel.

Do you think im being silly?

i think you are 100% right - what is this, the prom part 2? while the conversation might be awkward by nature, i think that's why you go to a reunion (if you decide to go at all) - to see whatsup with everyone you graduated with.

My FH didn't even hear about his 10 yr until a few days before it was supposed to happen, so he and his best friend from high school just didn't go. We went to a bar in our town the same night thinking the reunion would stay where it was held. WRONG - so many people showed up - the person who put it together was YELLING at FH. Then I got to meet the hottie of the grade and let me tell you, she wasn't a hottie anymore!

haha i love that - she was a 'not so hottie' haha

I dont think i would even mind a more local bar if they rented it out and kept the music lower. but to travel into NYC and its going to be so loud.. it just turns me off.. and FH and I really dont drink...

the sad thing is.. that in the end it doesnt really matter.. because the few people we actually liked from HS.. are people we still talk to... and most of the rest we run into from time to time.. i think the 20 yr or so on would be more worth going to
