Question

My cocktail hour starts at 6:30pm, i'm very tempted to put on the invitation 6:00pm because I know so many people will be late. Is anyone doing the same? Do you think the hall would mind if guests are showing up at 6:00?

Re: Question

I think you should keep it 6:30. The cocktail hour gives people that hour to arrive.

I am doing that...ceremony (at hall) starts at 7:00, invitation says 6:30, they serve champagne and strawberries to the guests as they wait.

It depends on how early they arrive. If they start showing up at 5:30 that might be a problem - unless your hall has a place for them to wait - such as a bar. If they show up at 6 though I think that should be fine. I'm sure the hall is well prepared for people to start arriving at that time.

We have something similar. Arrival time is 6pm but the ceremony doesn't start until 6:30. They'll be served fruit and champagne.

Re: Question

I would put the actual time b/c there are those people that will show up at 5:58 and then what do they do...
