Question

Is everyone out there having a Theme wedding? Im not sure I want one...Im sitting here at work trying to think of a theme for a 11/30/07 wedding. Do any of you have ideas to help me out??
(PS- without this board I would have no clue what the heck I was doing with this wedding planning stuff. I havent said it yet but I'll say it now...Thank you all for making the wedding planning fun and un-stressful. Im sure though as it gets closer to the wedding date it will get stressful....)

Re: Question

You absolutely do not have to have a theme wedding. I'm getting married on the water so i thought a beach theme would be cool. You are doing it right after thanks giving and just before christmas so you can go either way with the colors you choose. You can do a cinderella or fairy tale type wedding theme. But really, you can pretty much do anything you want.

Re: Question

We didn't plan on a theme wedding, but being that we're getting married at The Sandcastle, we incorporated Cinderella( i.e. Glass slipper table seating holders, a castle cake topper, invitations ) you get the idea. Colors can be a theme as well. We're having light pinks and greens, along with ALL Calla Lily's. Whatever you choose will be great. Have fun, and good luck!

Re: Question

My 'theme' will be everything monogram - and aqua .. im not really doing like a hearts, beach, thanksgiving theme

since your wedding is in nov - i have 2 ideas for you - you can do the 'Perfect Pear' theme, the pumpkin theme, or a fall leaves theme

Re: Question

we weren't having a theme but now that we're getting married in august..i thought it would be nice to a summery, beachy, tiffany blue type theme..just something to tie everything together..i'm not going to go crazy with it though

In case you missed it, LIW Theme Wedding Board

We're not having a specific theme, but we are incorporating his Jewish background and my Japanese background together somehow....

For an example, for place card, my relatives & Family are making 150+ paper cranes and we're attaching them onto a place card. see pic.

Fall theme that Love4Eva pointed out are great ideas.....think about colors you like and would like to incorporate.

Re: Question

I was thinking the same thing.
I have my colors down, but then I am thinking what do I do with invites, STD's, menu's, etc...

Was thinking the Monogram thing, but I don't know

Re: Question

I'm having a champagne theme. My colors will be champagne, gold, ivory with hints of sage and yellow. I am having the tables named after different champagnes, mini ice buckets as place card holders, champagne themed favor, champagne fountain at the CH, ect. The menus, invites, place cards will have vines and white grapes.

I really needed to work with a theme bc I thought it would keep me focused and in a direction.

You definitely don't need to have a theme wedding. You have a lot of great choices though getting married in late November. You can have a fall type theme or a holiday theme.
