My friend's fsil is getting married the day before Easter in out of state. We just got the invite yesterday. I think that is rude to only give us 1 month notice for an out of town wedding plus its the day before a holiday. Is it just me or is this rude ?

Re: Question ???
I think that's kind of rude and if I got an invite at this point I don't think I would be able to make it especially since it's out of town on a holiday weekend

I was thinking the same thing. It seems very last minute.

Re: Question ???
What was the RSVP date?
Keep in mind that outside of NY most people only mail invitations 6 weeks before the wedding date ... so its not as late as you think.

Re: Question ???
uh oh... maybe your friend is like me. I just got my invites and the RSVP date is 1st week of April. So technically, my guests have only 1 month too. perhaps it's unintentional...

This is very true. My family lives in VA and are originally from the midwest. My mom told me I shouldn't mail my invites until the beginning of April! They're going out next week.

Re: Question ???
I think between out of NY and poss. B-list, htese are the reasons. I would try to look at the positive. Maybe she really wanted you there but her list was too huge! (I can relate!) If you want to be part of day then go, if not don't. But don't spend any more time harping on the negative. It only feeds more negative. I hope that if you decide to go you have a good time!

Re: Question ???
It seems close to me too. I'm sure they weren't intentionally being rude, maybe they got a late start or didn't realize how fast the wedding was approaching.

Re: Question ???
I don't understand why can't people inform you when its a holiday and also your traveling. I am not doing save the dates to just spend money for nothing i am doing it to inform my traveling guests that is a sunday so they can make plans.
