Question....
Hi Ladies-Some of you might remember me....I have been really busy at work for a while and have not had the time to write. I am trying to get back into the swing of things.
My husband and I had our 1 yr anniversary in Sept. This past weekend we were talking and he said that he thinks we should start TTC summer this coming year. Which made me pretty excited...nervous but happy!
I have my annual exam next week and was going to talk to my doctor about all of this---to prepare. Do you guys have any advice on what I should ask and make sure I know?
I loved reading all of your posts.....you all sound so happy and congrats on babies & TTC!!!
Thanks!

Re: Question....
We will be TTC this Spring and at my last visit I mentioned it to the doctor. Some things I needed to know where- do I need to see each of the doctors in this practice during my pregnancy? Do you work with midwives or alteranative birthing methods? What hospitals do you work with?I think those are important questions to ask and have answered before deciding that you want to continue to use the same doctor as an OB.

Re: Question....
I would also ask what you need to do to prepare yourself. You may want to even make a preconception appt with the doctor to talk about just those things since the annual exam will be a full appointment in itself. That's what I did this summer went and just talked to the doctor about getting ready to TTC. It was nice because I felt a lot more relaxed talking to her without being on the exam table in the tiny exam gown, etc. You can just be yourself and think clearly about what questions you want to ask. Also write everything down, that's what I did so I didn't forget anything to ask at the appt.

Re: Question....
We are going to TTC very soon so I made an appointment with my Gyn. They basically didnt want to see me, they just told me to pick up some prenatal vitamins, and take some folic acid.. I decided to see another OBGYN (just to keep my options open, plus I think that you should def, interview a couple of dr.s before you decide on one.) I saw a different dr. and I felt much more comfortable at her office. Make sure your Dr. is affiliated with a hospital you are comfortable with. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
