Re: question....
I've seen both ways done. I wouldnt be upset at all if the bride and groom came around during the CH and then just got to enjoy the reception. I think thats what we are going to do.

Re: question....
hopefully this will help you:
we spent 25 min of our CH taking a few pictures in the bridal suite and then just spending time by ourselves. then we went down to the CH for maybe 20-25 min, and then we were swept away to get ready for our entrance
we talked to a few people during the CH and made it outside for a short time but it felt like nothing and we barely got to talk to anyone
we went around to tables during the reception and hit the old people first (the ones who care more) and got to family, old people, and maybe briefly our friends but we hung out with our friends on the dance floor and at our afterparty.... we spent a lot of time at the tables, we tried to be bried but its hard... but luckily we had 5 hours at our afterparty to make up for it. we didnt get to dance that much though!!!
id say you'll need more than just your CH but it helps

Re: question....
i think you still have to stop at each table and say thank you. FH and i will be at or CH but as soon and the reception starts we are going to quickly go around to everyone and say hi

Re: question....
My plan is to say hello to everyone at the cocktail hour so I do not have to do it during the reception.

we are going to the CH, but I still think that you need to go table by table and say Hi to everyone. It is the only organized way to make sure you see every guest

Re: question....
I hope not.
Thats what I'm planning on doing too and if I still have to go up to every table at the reception that will totally defeat the purpose of attending the ch.

Re: question....
see this is where i get confused...so if i go to ch and say hi and thanks and talk with everyone isnt it strange to go back to the same people an hour later and do the same thing?i dont want to be rude but i dont see why u would do it twice??ok im officially nuts

Re: question....
Its your call...personally Im not. I am going to try to make it to the ch. I wasnt sure if I was but my best friend said that was the one thing she wished she did. There are only a few hours and that kills a lot of time. The past three weddings I went to they didnt and all said the same thing. And no one complained that they didnt come around.

Good point!!
I am going to make it my business to get to the CH and say hi... I honestly am offended when the B&G do not say hi and thank you during the wedding process... now i dont care if its during the reception or if its at the CH.. just as long as its done. That being said CH it is!!
I guess just be mindful of who you havent seen at the CH

Re: question....
My FSIL went to CH and both her and her hubby said hi to people.. And during the reception they went seperate to each table and chatted for a few mins then thats it... I personally like that way.. Because then you can go to your side and say hi to everyone and if they want personal pics with you they can do it =D
