Question......

Ok - my boss whom I adore is moving to another position in the company and will be leaving in the next two weeks. I have him and his wife on my list for the wedding so here is my question:

I know who my new boss is going to be and he is a decent enough guy - with the wedding in 7 months do I now have to add the new boss??????

Re: Question......

proper etiquette is to invite your boss, but you do not have t do anything you do not want to. I think you should wait and see how thimgs go ith the new boss before you make a final decision

you could also see how (or if) your relationship continues with your old boss, and decide in a few months if you still want to invite him too.

Heather's right - you don't need to decide anything now.

Only if you want to! I am not inviting anyone from work! Too many so keeping it simple!

Re: Question......

Proper etiquette sometimes does not apply to all bosses. It certainly does not apply to mine (He will NOT be invited no matter who I invite within my company). I say wait like 3-4 months to see how your friendship develops with the new one. I would not feel obligated to invite the new one just because I am inviting the old one.

I agree with Curly. See how your relationship goes with both. Besides.. the invites don't go out until 2 months or so. No stressing

Re: Question......

Thanks for the advice girls - I've actually known my new boss for the a few years but not on a personal level. My invite list is at maximum capacity and he and i will have to be super close to get invited - I will wait and see how things pan out.

Thanks again ladies
