Do the grooms parents walk into the same song as the brides? Can they walk into 2 different songs? How does that part work?
I'm thinking about having my mother and grandmother walk into an upbeat irish song... called McNamara's Band (McNamara is my mom's maiden name and strangely enough my grandmother's maiden name as well - no incest going on though so get your mind out of the gutter)... but then I don't know what to do about his parents???
My bridal party is walking into the Bouncing Souls... a song called Ole and John and I are walking into a song by Dropkick Murphys... it's called Black Velvet Band but we are adding live bagpipers and maybe a drummer for it.
I would need a song for his parents that match the other songs in a way. And I have no idea what to use becuase they can't walk into McNamara's Band.... but if I'm supposed to do the same song for all parents... then i have to nix the McNamara's Band idea. I'm confused!!!!

You should tell your DJ your ideas and maybe he can come up with a song...
I did same song for BP and Parents...and for our entrance it was obviously differently. Its your wedding you do what you feel is right

I used the same song for both of our parents but there is no rule that says you have to. I've seen it where every individual couple had their own song so I think it is totally fine if you want different songs for both parents!

I had one song for parents and BP and then the song for DH & I. I just wanted to keep it simple.
I have mostly seen that or one song for parents and then a 2nd for BP and 3rd for you.
But its your wedding so you can do ANYTHING you want......talk to your DJ for help and suggestions.

1 Song for both Parents 1 Song for Bridal Party 1 Song for MOH and BM 1 Song for FG and RBs and 1 Song for Us
Now if I only had some idea of what those songs might be... :)

OMG the FH/RB song sounds ADORABLE!!!! What songs were you thinking for that? Something cute and upbeat?? Sounds sooo cute!!!!!

So it's OK then to do either or. Haha.. I haven't been to too many weddings... and so I haven't seen a lot of different things done.

You can do whatever you want! Just keep in mind the aisle length. If it's a super short aisle, it might be strange to have a lot of music changes b/c you may only get in a few lines before the people get to the front. Work with your musicians so they can get right to the 'chorous' part of a song.

From walking into the reception? Hmm... I don't think there's an aisle. They are just walking into the ballroom.
Are you talking about the church? I haven't even started thinking about that part! That's going to be a whole other post!! HAHAHA!
