There was a dress I loved that I showed to FMIL. She hated it and told me it looked like a BM dress because it was trumpet. I let it get to me and didn't buy it. Now I keep going back to it and wish I would've gotten a trumpet dress...so yes, I let it get to me.
I hope I love the one I got.
This is why I will not take mine to see my dress. Don't need the negativity.

When I showed my mother my dress on line she didn't like it. She was like why do you always want everything so tight, lol. However, when I went in perosn to try it on she loooved it. So yes it did annoy me but I knew in the back of my head that dress was mines, lol.

The only ones that have seen it are a few friends and one family member. No one else will see it until day of and wether they like it or not I won't be asking. As long as I like it, I don't care.

I got a lot of negative feedback on my the color of my dress. At first I let it bug me and then i second guessed myself...but in the end..its the dress I fell in love with!

Everyone liked it. The one person who probably won't like it - FMIL - won't see it until the day of. I don't need her b!tching at me about it.
It wouldn't have changed my mind though if people didn't like it.

my Mom will hate my dress. she's difficult. She'll hate my flowers, the dj, etc..I'm prepared for it. Whatever. It's my wedding not hers.
