i think you do. I was watching Rich Bride Poor Bride and she almost couldn't get hers cause she didn't have it. But I guess there may be substitutes if you dont have it

yes! i just called yesterday and she said we need bc from the state not the one with the footprints on it which i have no idea which one i have lol

When I looked it up it said that you need to bring a photo id so your drivers license or whatever and also your birth or baptismal certificate!

I think the footprints one is usually from the hospital...

eta-- we went a few weeks ago in the city and we just needed our license.. we brought our passports just in case too but didnt need it..

In Queens (or elsewhere in NYC) you only need one form of photo ID... most places outside the city including LI require birth certificate + photo ID as far as I know. We registered for domestic partnership at the Kew Gardens courthouse and only needed one ID, no birth certificate, I'm told it's the same for marriage licenses.

No. only one form of id. We used passports. You could use license.
In Queens only one form of id.
In LI..you need two I think.

On LI you need two forms of id, I used my baptismal cert and my license. I had the baptismal cert handy since my priest wanted it for our rehearsal
