Would you be annoyed at all if a BM said she wasn't coming to your bach party bc it's not 'her thing?'
I'm not saying I am annoyed; I'm just curious what others responses would be.

I'd be annoyed. If it was just a friend, I'd let it slide. But as a BM, it's just something that comes with the territory. Scuk it up and deal - you're a fun chick, I'm sure whatever you have in mind for the night is fun too! Unless it's a $$$ issue and she's using the 'not my thing' excuse as a front. Maybe talk with her and see what's up?

as a BM yes thats not really an excuse... i had a bunch of people invited to mine... i knew baseball wasnt their thing... but they came anyway and just hungout for the fun of it
