FH is the best man for his cousin's wedding we have this weekend. They asked me to do a reading at the church which is at 2. After that I am going to check into the hotel we are staying at (bc Fh will be taking pics) and then going to the reception which starts at 6. Ok so my question is what do i wear to the church. I have a beautiful long satin blue dress that I am wearing for the reception but I wasn't planning on wearing it to church. But now that I am doing a reading what should I wear. My dress is also very low (probably too low for church) so what would your recommendations be?? I can't wear jeans because I am speaking but I don't want to be too dressed bc I don't want people to think that is what im wearing to the reception.. LoL SOOO confused.

I say wear the dress, at the church just cover up if you think its unappropriate.

I was thinking about wearing the dress but since i have so much time in between and im not in the bridal party I wasn't sure if being dressed all day was good or not...thanks for the advice ladies.

yeah i agree with the ladies above... wear the dress but have something like a shawl to cover you up in church!

I wouldnt wear the dress
i did a reading for my cousin's wedding and i wore a suit
actually if you look in my albums -there is a picture of me and FH in front of Nativity. . . that was right after the wedding i did a reading at.

honestly i wouldn't wear the dress to the church. i would wear a different dress, maybe a 'sun dress' type of thing. something nice but more casual that your dress for that night.

I was thinking of black pants OR a sun dress. I really am so confused. The bride keeps telling me to wear a sun dress and get dressed after since it is going to be so hot on saturday. She was like you actually have the time to get all ready this way your fresh for the reception..Lol. AND the weddings at JT tilde so i'll take lots of pics!!!

i wouldn't wear the dress, only b/c it sounds like a really nice evening gown and this is a daytime church ceremony. i'd wear a nice skirt and top or a suit.

There many times where I wore a gown to the church for the wedding and kept it on all through the night. But thats just me, people are diff. There is no wrong in whatever you wear, unless its jeans to the church

I think a sundress would be perfect! It's supposed to be really hot on Sat. Then you can go back to the hotel relax a little and then get changed.
