I did not put guests on STD's. I put fiances, fiancees, and people who were living with someone only IF I knew their names.

Same with us. I actually made a mistake -- I put both names for couples that were dating but that I knew were on the rocks...I knew I should have only put the name of the friend I wanted because sure enough they broke up and our wedding was an argument - like was the boy still invited. I felt horrible. It was not fun. So if you are really only friends with one person call them and say of course your boy/girlfriend is invited with you but right now I am sending the the STD to the important people in our lives that we want to make sure can save the date (or something like that) if they break up so be it, but you will not be in the position I was in.
