question about atkins

when your counting your carbs do you count it from how many carbs are in there or is it the percent of daily value?

like if i ate something that had 3 grams of carbs would i count 3
or if it was 1% would i count the 1?

Re: question about atkins

You would count the three, but don't forget to minus the fiber grams for net carbs...

Re: question about atkins

you would only count the grams. As others have said don't forget to subtarct sugar alcohols and dietary fiber.
Most low carb companys will tell you what the net carbs are for their products.
It is only on things not geared to the low carber that will not tell you the net carb, so then you have to do the math yourself.

Ladies - I don't really buy the whole 'net carbs' marketing garbage...the FDA has not approved this method of subtracting sugar alcohols and fiber from Total Carbs to create a 'Net Carb' number. I think it's a bunch of horsesh*t, really...just to sell their products.
