Question about B urton's

My girls are going to be ordering their bridesmaid dresses soon, so I've been looking around for prices. B urton's is significantly cheaper than the other places that I have called, and I was just wondering if anyone has ordered dresses from them before. How was your experience? and how were the alterations?

Any information would be very helpful. Thanks!

Re: Question about B urton's

I had my girls order their Jim Hjelm dresses from there b/c the prices couldn't be beat.

It's really hard to find the place but everything else was fine. It's not the place you go to for the whole 'bride treatment' but it's def good. Those who got their alterations done there had a good experience.

My only complaint was the dresses came in 3 weeks later then they were supposed to. Less then 1 month to my wedding. But alterations were done on time.

Re: Question about B urton's

I've gotten quite a few dresses there being in other bridal parties and I didn't have any problems w/ alterations. Their attitudes stink but I guess you're not paying for niceness.

Other girls that I know though swear they would never go there for alterations. My MOH was in a BP and her hot pink dress was altered w/ black thread. Granted nobody sees this kind of stuff but it's quality issues that I know she had a problem with.

Re: Question about B urton's

I got my gown there and have gotten several BM dresses there for when I was in the BP.

It's not a frou-frou bridal experience but I have to tell you, the prices can't be beat. I've never had an issue with their alterations.

My bridal gown alterations were AMAZING!!!!

Re: Question about B urton's

We used Burt0ns as our florist. When it came time to try BM dresses, not many places carried the dress I wanted. Burt0ns had the sample & since we used them as our florist, they gave my girls an additional 20% off. They are not a fancy, glitzy bridal shop so don't go there if that's the experience you want. I didn't really care since it was just BM dresses & not my bridal gown (that I went to Kleinfeld for ).

The alterations are also very cheap...capped at $60 or $65 (don't remember), whereas the bigger bridal shops are higher. I have to say that I was happy with them. They actually measured my girls accurately (only ONE needed any alterations, and I had a big BP). A lot of times, shops make you order a larger size so they make more money in alterations... I've been a BM 3 times and this was always the case but Burt0ns was on point. My only problem was that the dresses took longer than expected and they came in 2 weeks before the wedding! Dunno if that was their fault or Jim Hjelm's fault.

Re: Question about B urton's

I have gotten BM dresses there for other weddings, and I agree- their measurements are spot on.

I actually found my wedding dress elsewhere, and Carole beat the price I was given by so much (several hundreds of dollars), that I ordered it through her! I'm nervous about the alterations there, but the seamstress seems to know what she is talking about

Re: Question about B urton's

Thanks so much for your responses they've been very helpful. We'll deinitely order the dresses through Burton's. As long as the alterations are okay, I think my girls would rather save the money than be fussed over.
