Question about baby/toddler clothing sizes

I am trying to shop online for a baby gift for a friend of mine. I want to do it online and have it sent to her because I don't know when I will be able to see her.

Anyway, her son is 2. I have found things I liked in sizes up to 24 mos, which I thought might be too small. Then I looked at other clothes and saw sizes that started at 3T. I worry that 3T might be too big. I want to get her an outfit that the baby can wear in the summer.

Is there such a size as 2T? What should I be looking for?

TIA.

Yes, there are 2Ts. Infant sizes are up to 24 months (which I believe typically are smaller than 2T) while 2T starts the toddler sizes.

HTH!

Yes 24 mos is a little smaller then 2T but there is a size 2T some stores consider 24 mos the same as 2T which I can't see how when 24 is a bit smaller I don't know I have trouble with the sizes myself and my daughter is in 6/9 mos but quickly outgrowing them
