I don't know why this is on my mind but I think I want to ask one of my best friends (since jr high) to be a bridesmaid, so that would make it 5 girls total. FH already asked his friend which would make it 5 on the boy's side but he might be overseas (he's a marine) and he doesn't know if he will make it to the wedding. So now I don't know if I want to ask my friend. Also we fell out of touch for a long time but recently started hanging out again and becoming really close again. And I think I want to ask her but I can't decide. I also don't want the numbers in the bridal party to be uneven if fh's friend can't be there (5 girls, 4 boys), even though that sounds strange lol. Maybe I should just wait, who knows. What do u think??

Since 2009 only just began..I think you can definatly wait a few more months. You don't want to regret your decision later on!

You do have time to wait if you want, but there is nothing wrong with having an uneven bridal party. we are having 4 girls/3 guys

you have plenty of time! i already asked all six of my girls and fh had 5 guys. there is a sicth he wants to ask but he is just waiting till it get closer to see if they are still close.
Its ok to have an uneven amount if thats what is worrying you. I say take some time to think about it...

I think that you should wait, my wedding is not until July 2010 and i don't plan on asking my girls until July 09. I would do it sooner but I can't decide who not to ask...I have 8 in mind but I want to cut it down...mine will def. be uneven because FH is only having 4 guys on his side.

Ours in uneven it doesnt bother me but I know it does worry and stress alot of ppl. I would wait just a little longer but I know that your fh's friend prob wont know till way closer right?

I dont plan to ask anyone to be in my bridal party for a few more months and right now I have 4 that I really want to have and FH has 5 that he knows he is asking and if that is uneven so be it. Just make sure you ask someone who is going to be there to help and suport you and not start drama or anything.

yea his friend won't know probably til the very last minute which kinda ***** but there's nothing he can do about it. duty calls lol.
and thanks girls for your responses. i am gonna wait a little longer, especially to see if we continue our friendship. i don't mind having an uneven bridal party, don't know why that bothered me lol ocd a little?

def wait if the evenness (word?) is an issue, you wouldnt want to ask her and then its not how you planned, or worse you guys dont really stay in touch
