question about centerpieces

question about centerpieces

How much is everyone spending or planning on spending on their center pieces? I would like a tall centerpiece, perhaps with red and white roses, but fh and i have decided that we want to spend between $70-80(fh won't let me spend anymore ) is it possible to get a tall centerpiece for this price? Any florists recommendations are welcome.

Roses and Rice is my florist. My centerpieces are oblong with three tapered candles in the center of the piece. I will see if I can find a pic of what it looks like.

Here is a pic, the only thing that is diffrent is that mine will have three candles instead of two and the color of the flowers will be in oranges, plums, and wine colors to go with my fall theme:

We are spending about $45/each for about 22 tables. We got a major hook up bc the shop owner is related to my MOH. It will be an arrangement of mostly roses and other flowers as filler in a silver bowl.

I got a very good quote from Terranova Florists in Baldwin (vendor on the board). My family has used them in the past for various occasions and they always do a good job.

Jack and Rose is very reasonable, and Jack does great work- check him out!

see what laurie from la blossom can do for you...

my advice: don't go in with a 'set price' in mind, find pictures of what you like and have the various florists provide quotes for you. find out from them what makes arrangements more/less expensive and then come up with your own creation with your price range in mind...

I agree! Laurie is GREAT!

Tell the florist the max you can spend and see what they can offer you in that range.

Heather - also look into Burton's in Huntington. I heard from a friend that they have great prices and will work with your budget.

Attica, I LOVE your centerpieces... I am stealing your pic for my wedding file!

This is very nice, excellent choice

Sorry, the comment above was for Attica. $150 for that is about right I think. It's expensive, and adds up if you have a lot of tables, but is very elegant and has a ton of quality flowers.

check out Laurie from LA Blossom. She's very friendly and her prices are pretty good!

Haven't done my flowers yet but I have been thinking that although I like tall centerpieces, they can be expensive. When it comes time I think I'm going to consider doing half tall and half low centerpieces. Just a though.

2 dozen roses with 3 vases per centerpiece - $60

I tried to post the sample but my computer is acting up -- FM if you want to see.

Re: question about centerpieces

i went to see two florists. Both were over 100 for tall centerpieces and between $60-85 for the low ones with pillar candles on the site. Both said you could do a combo of high and low.

Plus, if you have low ceilings at your hall, IMO the tall look funny.
