As long as her other colors aren't the same as yours, I think its totally fine! I think they will look beautiful with your pink, and honestly I don't even remember the BM dress colors from most of the weddings I've been to, so I wouldn't worry about it

I think you should do whatever makes YOU happy. Maybe say something to your FSIL that you were planning on these colors for a while now and see what she says.

I think you should definitely do whatever color makes you happy ---- even if it's the deepest eggplant dress you can find!
Your wedding will be completely different - different venue, different flowers, different food etc. Don't worry too much about the color scheme (though I know it would really bother me at first). But at this point, you just gotta do what makes you happy because this is YOUR day. With all of the planning you went through you should be able to do what you want.
Both dresses and colors are beautiful btw.

butttt I also think that the blackberry and eggplant are very different, so I don't think you should change just bc she's using eggplant. Also, her wedding is in the fall, yours is in the spring with CHERRY BLOSSOMS!!! Its going to be different, plus, I honestly don't think many people will remember! Stay with the color that makes you happy!

You have been planning your colors and flowers for such a long time , i think they are going to stand out and be different and it wont even matter.
Trust me there are soooo many things my FSIL did that i had plans on doing but she was getting marriede before me so she got to use them. but my wedding i am going to make my own.

I actually like the 2nd colored dress better LOL but that is just my taste speaking.
In all honesty though - they are SOOOOOOOOOO different. First one is like really purple the other almost reminds me of a darker shade of pink actually.
I understand your concern w/ the weddings being close - but i wouldnt think people would be like 'ohh - seen this...done that' - your wedding will have a totally different feel so you do what you gotta do and go with what your heart really wants.
either way i think both are beautiful!!!!

those colors are really close and really similar... if you are in love with the color, then i say just go for it. it's your wedding, you can have it any way you'd like, but if it's really going to bother you, then try to change it a little bit.

i think the colors are different enough that people won't think you both had the same colors. also, depending on what accent color she uses, the look of the wedding could be completely different!
i absolutely love the idea of the blackberry dress with light pink flowers. i think it's going to look beautiful. i say stick with your original plan- you shouldn't have to sacrifice on your wedding, no matter what other people say.
