Question about DJ's attire?

Girls, maybe you can help me here. I was at a wedding Sunday night and Body Rock was the DJ. Although they have a good rep and the music was good and the guests seemed to enjoy it, I was a little curious about the clothes. The MC (s) were in suits. They were kinda 'guido-ish' and I would have expected at a Wedding they would wear tuxs. No? I know that I want the vendors in tuxs at my wedding. Also the party ended at 1:00am but at like 12:40 Am the Dj and MC and all their helpers were already changed into their t-shirts and packing up (the music was still on though). Am I too picky or is this normal. I never noticed this before. Again I am not saying the company is bad but I was surprised. (BTW, my Fh is an ex Guido I just think at a wedding the look should be standard, not up to a vendor's own taste.) Your opinions will help me. Thank you.

Re: Question about DJ's attire?

Well, since you asked . . .I'll share.

As long as my DJ & MC are dressed respectfully, I don't intend to worry. I would be more concerned about if they did their job effieciently.....which of course would be to make sure that my guests are on the dance floor non-stop. JMO.

Re: Question about DJ's attire?

Maybe whoever had the wedding told them to wear suits or maybe they asked and they didn't care.

Re: Question about DJ's attire?

The only thing I can think of, as far as it being problem, is if they are already in their t-shirts & they are in a pic that I might want to use in my album, I would be p*ssed.

I have seen a few weddings where the DJ & MC were in all black suits & also in tuxes & they both looked fine, but maybe you should call the vendor or look at your contract & see if there is any dress code stipluated in their literature or your contract.

Re: Question about DJ's attire?

See Radio, what I am worried about is that what you or I think is 'respctful' , in terms of dress, may be very different from what a Dj considers respectful. I dont want to insult whichever vendor I decide to go with, but was curious how all the other brides are handling it. Thanks for your input.

Re: Question about DJ's attire?

I would be a lil ticked.. especially towards the end when they were in tees.... If it irked you too, when booking your DJ, explain that too them, and express your concern... Ive found that you always get a straight answer then... Good Luck!

Re: Question about DJ's attire?

Best Advice: ASK and have it in your contract.
