Question About Dyeing Shoes, Please Help

Have you ever gotten shoes dyed that weren't labeled as actual dyable shoes? I have shoes for the wedding that I bought because I loved them but they only came in an ivory color. They are a satin material and I was hoping to dye them diamond white. They're a random brand, Paris Hilton actually, but I love them and they have pink soles! I called Sandy's Shoes and the woman doesn't think they can be dyed. Anyone here have any experience with this with maybe going somewhere else with shoes that weren't actual dyables and it was possible? Please help I really love the shoes and really want to wear them!

TIA!

Re: Question About Dying Shoes, Please Help

im not positive but i would say yes... BUT it could get tricky cuz you want to dye them lighter than what they are, its usually much easier to go the other way around, so basically im no help lol

i went to myglassslipper a few weeks ago, and i'm pretty sure they showed those exact shoes dyed.

you should stop by the store to check. it's on 22nd between 5th and 6th.

Oh that's helpful, thank you! I'm hoping I can at least bring it to a shoe dyeing professional and hopefully they can bleach the shoe if anything and then dye them diamond white. It's good to know though that you may have seen this shoe dyed which means it is dyeable, thanks!

Anyone know of a good shoe store that dyes shoes???

Thanks for the posts girls!
