Question about endometrial biopsy.

I went to the dr the other day and told him that I was having problems with several days of spotting before AF and my cycles were short.
I didn't see my regular OBGYN because he wasn't available that week.
Anyway, he told me he wanted to do an endometrial biopsy the first day of spotting (which is usually day 21 for me.) This week it was day 14 & I went to the office for the test with MY REGULAR OBGYN. He said that every dr is different and he wouldn't have done that test but he will do it anyway to see if anything comes back and they should know within a week. It shouldn't matter what day it was done as long as they know what day it is in my cycle,right? I hope they have answers for me next week.

I haven't had that done yet (will though next month) however my RE did say that they do the Endo Biopsy a few days b4 ur AF is supposed to come (assuming you are on a 28 day cycle they would have you come in around the 24th day). I forgot the reasons behind it but i am sure it is important.

The dr told me that I have to get it done the first day of spotting which was usually on like the 21st day but I had spotting on the 14th day. I hope he can still find out what he needs.

I had this done. It is done bfore your mentrual cycle because they want to see if the lining of the uterus is good, and they can see if it can hold a pregnancy. My doctor was able to tell my progesterone levels as well.
He can also determine if you are ovulating.

It is not painful at all. It is like getting a pap smear done. They go in with a long thin tubing and scrape the lining of the uterus.

I had it done yesterday but it was on day 14.
Now I am wondering if the test is going to tell him anything because it wasn't right before AF.(My cycles are so crazy though.)
