Question about Fatherless Brides Also!!

Original post by jpdagame

I don't speak to my father and haven't in a long time.... Even if I do decide to actually invite him to our wedding, there is no way in hell that he is having the honor of walking me down the aisle.. I was going to ask my Grandfather do me the honor, but he recently passed away before I had the chance.. Is it silly to have my mom walk me down the aisle? Has anyone ever seen that done before???

In Jewish tradition, both parents walk the child down the aisle. My dad passed away several years ago, so only my mom will walk me down the aisle. I think this is beautiful. Who better than the woman who brought you into this world to give you away as you begin your new life.
