question about getting a marriage license before the actual date of the wedding

Hi~!

I was wondering if it is possible to obtain a marriage license 7 months before the actual wedding date?

or will I have to get a marriage license and then get married at city hall in order for me to be married legally? and then hold my actual ceremony on the planned date.

Thanks~!

7 months is too far ahead to get your marriage license. i believe they are only good for 60 days; then they expire and you'd have to obtain a new one.

the previous post is correct. lisc is valid for 60 days. you just can't use it 24 hours after you got it.

why would you want a license that far in advance??

Valid 60 days from date issued with a minimum of 24 hours after it is issued.
