Hi I just finished a rough draft of my guestlist and I have about 150 with vendors and all.
What is the percentage that will say no?
Also, I was just told if a vendor is contracted with the hall, they eat for free? How do you know if they are contracted? is there a secret website with this info?
Also, FH and i will be going to JT tonight, probably to book :)

Re: Question about Guestlist
I think the estimated percentage of nos is 20% but of course that is different for everyone. As for the vendor thing I think it depends on the hall's policy...some are all vendors are 50% (regardless of if theyre house vendors), some are house vendors eat for free, etc. Just ask for a list of house vendors, but if its Jericho Terrace they should give you a binder full of vendor info, and I assume all the vendors in there are house vendors. Hope that helps. Congrats!!!!

Re: Question about Guestlist
no, if that's the max amount of people that would come if everyone was invited, then you should tell them less.
whatever you 'guarantee' you will have to pay for. i would definitely tell them like 120 or 125 just in case. Unless you're in the penthouse room at JT though, I think the other rooms require a 175+ guarantee.
Good luck!

Re: Question about Guestlist
Remember...most halld don't include vendors or children into the total headcount - usually b/c they are 50% or free.
For example my place does children under 12 and recommended vendors at 50% and they can't be counted towards my guarentee of 150.
Which ever hall you book with will tell you who their vendors are and will let you know their policy.

Re: Question about Guestlist
Also...the percentage is usually 20% but it really depends on some other factors (what day does it fall on, do you have OOT guests, etc...)
I guarenteed 150 and I'm inviting about 200.

Re: Question about Guestlist
Yeah, I would tell them 100-120...try starting at 100 and see if theyll lower the pp of you up it to 120-125.
