Hoping you can help :) When you go for a hair/makeup trial, what do you tell them in regards in how you want to look in the makeup and hair? How far in advance did you go for your trials prior to your wedding? When did you book your trials in relation to your wedding day? Typical cost of trials?

I actually booked my hair and make-up people w/ out going on a trial. I have seen so much of their work and they were booking up so fast that I just bboked them and will have my trial when my headpice comes in. I am 100% confident in their work. Oh, it was Oksana and Jen the Hair Genie

I booked my person (Mia) after my makeup trial (she charges $75 for makeup, $75 for hair trials)...it would be cool to go to several trials but i dont have the money to do so...ive seen a ton of her work and am confident in her ability so i booked her for both hair and makeup

i was going to ask this also... what places/people do you all recommend? would going to a salon like cactus be ok for this? for my sister's wedding in 2002 we went there but only because she was a colorist there and knew all the girls very well... i have no idea where to go, i want my hair and makeup to look phenomenal of course.. lol. without spending a buttload of money on trials.. sorry to hijack your question, but i figured we could keep all this info in 1 post for everyone to see. thanks for any advice

Well since I was getting extenstions I didnt want to pay for extenstions (which can be pricey) a million times over so I narrowed it down to 2.
I didnt make it to the second one b/c I really loved my first trial and booked with them.

YEs infact def have to tell them what you want for your own wedding.
I already had my make up trial, it was free but she also charges a bit more the day of, but i would say typical trial costs are $50-100
