question about hi lites....

i know everyone's hair grows differently but how long do you let your hi lites go before you touch them up? blonde hi lites on brown hair. it's just about an inch right now from my scalp and wondering if i could go another two weeks or just do this weekend. i really dont wanna spend one of these beautiful days we are about to have in a salon!
also, when you get them done, do you notice your hairdresser doesn't get them right to the scslp but like a few mm/cm away? maybe i am just being anal?

Mine go right to the scalp. I wait until about 1 inch and then i go.. im almost due right now, but my hair is so dry from the last time i am putting it off..

i get mine done every four months with a color touch up every eight weeks. i guess it depends on your hair color. as far as the cm away from the scalp thing, i think it depends on the skill of the colorist. the girl i use now is amazing, the old girl i had used to leave a lot of room between my scalp and the color. i didn't like it, but i am truly anal about my hair. it is a sickness. :

i have to go to a new girl/guy. i know u said you have an awesome colorist in franklin sq, right? my girl is good in that i love how she hi lites my hair but never goes all the way to the scalp which i find annoying! means that'll be one month sooner that i'll have to touch it up! thanks suzanne!

I let them grow out but for almost two years I went every 5-6 months
so twice a year but mine really stayed a long time

I should get mine done every six weeks...but I stretch it to eight if I have nothing special to do within those two weeks.

I am going tomorrow and I just realized that it's been 10 1/2 weeks! I must look terrible!!!

i just got mine done after over 5 months of not (timing for party). I had about 2' of growth. I usually go ever 4 months.

I pay (they rose te prices ) $115 Full head (I have a LOT of hair, and double process color), cut and dry

PS, put it off. I spend 3 hours when I go,,no way unless I had to get it done for an event would I do it during this gerogous weather. We have had such few days,,,,,,,,,,,go and enjoy it. If you think it'snoticable, wear your hair up or in a headband
