Question about Hydrangea Bo-K.....

I heard that hydrangeas don't hold up well in boks cause they need lots of water, so they start to wilt sooner then other flowers. does anyone know if this is true?

I actually just ordered my flowers today and the florist is a friend of mine and she said that it wasn't good to get hydrangeas in bo-k's because of that problem.. so I am just going to get it in my centerpieces

I had a hydrangea BO-K and had NO problems. The florist brought it at 9:00 am for pics, and after the wedding, it was STILL beautiful- my mother said it didn't start to wilt until later that night.

Now I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Originally I was going to have peonies for my bo-k but I heard they won't hold up in the heat and if that might happen with hydrangeas I'll have to decide on another bo-k (again)

Thanks girls, I really wanted a blue hydranges bouquet. I guess I'll call the florist and ask. I heard it only happens if its a really warm day.

Maybe they can put water caps on the ends of the stems to make them last longer?

I had lots of hydrangea in my bo-k and it held up beautifully. It still looked gorgeous the next day.

My sister got married this past July and we all had blue hydrangeas and white roses in our bo-k. They held up great and it was soo hot. THey were absolutely beautiful!

Thanks, that gives me some hope! I just think they are beautiful and would really like to use them. Also, the idea with the water caps is really good!
