Okay i know these are stupid questions but.... I'm thinking of putting my 9yr old cousin in the bridal party. She should be a Jr. bridesmaid right? She is too old to be a flower girl, right? Then what dress do I put her in??? I don't think they make the bridesmaid dress that small. Do I just find a dress in the same color as them or what??? She should match the bridesmaids right? Very confused. Also would she be the first Bridesmaid to walk down the aisle?

Yes, she'd be a jr. bridesmaid....she can wear the same color as the bridesmaids (if you want, but it's not required!). A lot of designers make complimentary jr. bridesmaid dresses, and if not, if the dress is appropriate, the smallest size can be ordered and altered to fit.
And yes, she is the first to walk down, either alone, or if you have one, with a jr. usher.

Definitely she would be a jr. bridesmaid IMO. You can have her dress match the flower girl's. I had 2 jr. BMs and the FG all wear the same dress (try usangels.com). They did not match the BMs but were within the same color scheme. As for walking down the aisle, these days it is really up to the bride and groom, so whatever you like. Good luck !

I don't want her to look like the flower girls if she isn't going to be one because then it just looks like she is a FG. Did that make sense? Okay if I don't have her match the BM's what other color could I have her in? The BM dress color is champagne and MOH is gold. The dress is in my profile

I have two Jr BM they are 7 and 10. They are wearing navy like the BM. The FG is wearing ivory w/ a navy sash. The Jrs are not wearing the same dress as the BM, its a younger dress.

I am having 2 junior bridesmaids age 10 and 7. The 10 year old is almost 5 feet tall. It was so hard to find something. My color dress is champagne, so I decided to go with a Ms. Jillian Dress. It's Ivory on the top and champagne on the bottom. I don't know how to attach the picture or I would show you.

I am having a Jr. BM and she is 9 years old. She is wearing a dress in the same exact color and material as the BMs but it is an appropriate style for her age (not strapless). It is similar in style though. My BMs are wearing Bill Levkoff and the Jr. BM is wearing a Ms. Jillian dress (that designer makes complimentary dresses to some of the BM dress designers).

I am having my 7 year old cousin as a jr. bridesmaid (she was a flower girl in my brother's wedding when she was 5 and wanted a 'promotion'). Anyway, I am having a black and white wedding (bm in all black) so she is going to wear a dress that is black and white. (even though she loves to try on flower girl dresses whenever we go dress shopping!!)

I'm having my twin 8 year old cousins be in the wedding as well but I am having them as FG's/JR BM's. I am also having our neice who will be almost 2 as the flower girl. I will have them wear different dresses than the BM's but since the BM will be wearing black, I will have the little FG wear white with a little black and the older two wear black and white. These are the dresses that I like however they are REALLY expensive so I am going to a store in Merrick that can make them for much less.
Yes, at 9, I agree she should be a Jr. Bridesmaid. Some designers make Jr gowns to match the BM's. however, Bill Levkoff does not (of course that's who I'm using)... My Jr. will be getting the SAME exact gown, but we will be adding some straps to make it more youthful

Merf- If you dont mind me asking what store are you going to. I am also having Black BM dresses and I have 2 Jr.Bridesmaids. I saw these dresses too and loved them. But they were too much$$$

I'm going to Calliope in Merrick on Merrick Rd. They already have the black satin skirts- you can either pick a top or have one made. They have the skirts in all different colors too. They said they will run around $150- maybe a little higher. That's not cheap but cheaper than these dresses which I think were like $300 something!

I am having a Jr. Bridesmaid, and I couldn't find a dress to match exactly in the color, so I put her in and ivory and yellow dress, and the BM will be in ivory and blue. THe flower girl will be in mainly oivory with yellow accents, and the BP will have yellow an blue flowers. So you can find something similar for hewr, but it doesn't have to be in the smae color as the BP.

I had 4 girls (1 MOH, 3 BM, and 1 JR BM) all except for my Jr. BM wore a different color dress and style. She was 12 years old and 5' (that's my height). I have pics of her dress in 'our wedding' at:
