Question about labeling invites

Question about labeling invites

I am printing labels for my invites - my envelopes are ecru and i got a darker color beige label that im using.

I am printing the return address as well as the address label and i also bought matching circle labels for seals.

Normally on invitations, the return address is preprinted on the back of the envelope (just the address - no name)

So should i print the return address labels with just the address - no name?

And should i put them on the front of the envelope - or the back?

I appreciate any thoughts, ideas, comments, etc TIA

i just learned about putting address on the back....after i had already printed a bunch of envelopes so I re-did them with the address on the back with no name

we printed directly onto the envelope ourselves, but still did no name and on the back flap--it really wasn't that hard to set up!

I think on the back where they usually go would be good

Have you ever seen an actual label on the back? I know i always see the printing directly on the envelope - but im wondering if the label will look ok.

I haven't seen it with a label....have you tried just printing directly on the back? Since you're just printing the same thing on all the envelopes it's easier than a mail merge for the front....

But i really want to use the labels - i like the color contrast it creates - i just dont know if it would look better on the front or back

I guess i'll just do a sample of both - that would be the smartest way to go lol

I think a label would look funny on the back flap -- if you are doing back flap it might be better to print them.

We are having our invite company print them and it's last name and then address on the back like this:
