Question about Marriage License?

I'm getting married on 6/18 and we were planning on getting our license next Wed. 6/15, do you think that's too close? or should we go sooner. FH and I are taking a half day on Wed. and figured we could just go then. I'm hoping we'll be in and out of there quickly. TIA

The license can't be older than 60 days and must be 24 hours old. NYS law.

That's fine to go then. I just hope you are both able to make it and nothing else comes up because you don't have a cushion of time.

Just some advice...two friends of mine went for their marriage license, expecting it to take a short time, and they were there ALL DAY. It was probably just a very busy day at that particular office, but if I were you I'd probably give my boss a heads-up that I might be out for the entire day depending on how things go.

We are getting married on 6/18 as well, and plan to go this Friday morning at the Queens office. In the event of a problem, we'll have next week as a back-up possibility.

Considering that I am having an emergency dress fitting this weekend, I have realized the necessity of having a cushion ;)
