I'm just curious how I figure out how many lbs of M&M's I need. If they organza bags or tins I get are 1.7 ozs, then does this mean that I get 1.7 ozs of M&M's per guest? Or do I get less because I won't need to stuff it full???
Help me figure out how many lbs of M&M's I would need for 300 people!!!!

I'm not really sure. Wedding is 10-10...and we are tired of discussing favors....we decided on doing M&M's with a donation, so now we are just trying to figure out how much we need.

I don't have the link handy but on the mm website it tells you. It works out that the 5lb bulk bag is enough for 50 guests though.

I think the 5lb. = 50 pp is about right. We used 2oz tins and got about that for our eparty. I bought extra blank ones at Dylan's Candy bar - you could always get 1 or 2 colors with your names on them and supplement with another color in plain (w/o writing)
