Question about MOB dress

So my mom and I went to a few places on Saturday to start looking for a dress for her. No luck but we did find a designer she liked and a style. Now here's my question. My mom tried on this dress (not this one exactly but along these lines as far as style and having a pattern to it and multi colored).

My question is: do you feel this is too much for a MOB to wear? Like a little too flashy? I couldn't really decide if I thought it was or not and neither could my mom. This designers does make solid color dresses and we find quite a few she liked online, but just wanted your opinions on this.

I LOVE that dress....for me. but for MOB dress, I personally think it's a bit much. I think a more solid color would be better. but i love it!

I know when she picked the dress I said 'I'm trying that on too' LOL. My mom is young looking for her age so she really doesn't want a 'mom' dress. But I agree that it might a bit much. Thankfully this designers has solid colored dresses in the same style so we are going to shop around.

well not that exact dress but similar dresses do come in a solid color...

here is another one we found online (just have to find it in a store).

I LOVEEEEEEEEE both dresses - but I think the second one just screams ELEGENCE which I think is perfect for MOB dress

The dress is GORGEOUS! but I think the pattern is too much for a wedding being the MOB

i like this one much better personally. the other one is too much with the pattern IMO.

love both gowns but Im with the others the second is more of a moh gown

wow! i love the dress!!! - for MOB though, i think it might be a bit much. I am still kind of undecided though... I tend to steer more towards the solid colors for MOB rather than prints...

ETA - LOVE the second dress!
