Re: question about moving
I moved out about 6 years ago...and yes, I was totally freaked at the start, but also super excited.
I'm close with my fam though, and they moved to FL so I really, really missed them.
You're going to learn a lot about yourself, about how strong you are, about how to get freakin' stains out of upholstery, about cooking, about time and money management...it's really a lot of fun once you get over the initial freak-out stage.

Re: question about moving
Ummmmm why don't I know about this mid-april move???
I went away to school and when I moved out of my parents house for the first time I still was a mess. I cried like every night for a week. I was a huge baby. And then in the morning I would cry again because my mom and I would have tea every morning before I left for work and I was crying over the fact I could never have tea with my mom ever again...
I am a big crier. I hate it.

Re: question about moving
hmm not really....i went to school 4 hrs away from my house and was obv a little nervous but i always knew I could go visit home whenever..
and then when i finished college and moved out for real I was already used to living on my own so I was totally fine.
don't worry kayla...you will be fine. I can understand being nervous cuz its something new but you will adjust!!!

Re: question about moving
No, I didn't! I was excited an ready.
Of course, it's a big change though and many people will get nervous. You'll be fine though, and you wont be too far from home right?? Youll see your family often, and you will LOVE being on your own :)

Re: question about moving
I cried when I moved in with FH because I realize it was the last time I was ever going to live with my mom and dad as their little girl.
Buuuuut I got over it. They were all up in my biznazz and its much nicer this way. Also it forced me to learn how to cook, so there ya go.
I thought it would be scary supporting myself, but FH and I came up with a financial plan before we moved so I felt secure in that.

Re: question about moving
i was 24 and buying a co-op. i never went away from school and as much as i love my parents and get along with them great... i was ready to have my own space and no one to tell where i was going! i did get lonely in the beginning, especialy being single at the time!

Re: question about moving
I lived at school so it didn't really bother me....then when I was a junior in college, my parents moved to our summer house and sold our LI house so I haven't lived with the rents since I was 18 (when I first went away to college)
