Question about my veil???

When I put a deposit on my dress. I also put a deposit on the veil that I absolutely loved and I thought looked great w/ my dress. Problem is last night I was reading an article in Brides Magazine that said,'If you have a cathedral length veil it should be quite a bit longer than the train on your gown orthe dress train should beshorter than the veil lenth'.. I am like thinking OMG my dress has a train and my veil is cathedral length and the veil is only a a tad bit longer it just passes the train by like 1 inch . I'm am worried does the veil I love look ridiculous w/ my gown. I mean the sales women said she thought it looked great, but was she just saying that to make a sale or maybe she didn't know any better. Also I can NOT CHANGE MY MIND or decide I want another veil without loosing money, it is store policy. Any suggestions??? ehre is the link to the train of my gown.

Re: Question about my veil???

before I look.. how much money will you lose??

And- before reading the bridal propaganda in Brides magazine- did you love your veil??

ETA: I think any veil that makes you happy with that train is great.. It is really long.. I think you can really get away with anything.

I will loose over $300. I still love the veil regardless.

Re: Question about my veil???

then keep it..

Don't let some magazine tell you what you LOVE is not appropriate.. You should love everything you are wearing that day- and no one is going to be whispering, 'can you believe her veil is not as long as her train'.. not gonna happen. Feel confident in your original decision.

Re: Question about my veil???

Keep it and then maybe you can have it altered if you really don 't like it. i don't know if it's possible but it would be better than losing $300. I say its your wedding and you can do whatever you want!

Re: Question about my veil???

I don't really go by what the magazines say. They say that petite women should not wear ballgowns or strapless dresses. I have a strapless ballgown that I fell in love with. You can't always go by the magazine. See if you can go back and try it on again.

My sister had a very long train and a cathedral veil and it looked beautiful.
