We are under by like 20 people for our min. do they throw something in or could I ask for something to be thrown in. I mean either way we are still paying for the missing people.

Re: Question about not making the Minimum
You can ask, I think it depends on the hall. If they won't throw something in, then I would request the dinners to be packed up for you at the end of the night. If you don't want them you can donate them to a homeless shelter.

Re: Question about not making the Minimum
We were under our minimum too and when we told our hall, yes, they did accomodate us, they even did not charge the kids as adults. They threw in the seafood boat at the cocktail hour - we had to pay a little extra for that, but not nearly as much. The Inn was wonderful and worked with us!
Just ask your hall and I'm sure they will throw something in!

I LOVE the homeless shelter idea!! FH parents run a homeless shelter through the church (his father is a deacon). Every year my Christmas bonus would be a ham or a turkey! seriously!! And I would just donate it to the homeless shelter!!

Re: Question about not making the Minimum
It depends on the RH. I know mine has a really bad reputation for not doing anything. Nothing thrown in, no meals packed up, nothing. Considering we're currently 38 under our minimum, and most likely will end up being at least 25 under, I'm not happy at all. I'll have to see when we go for our menu meeting if we can do anything, but I'm not holding my breath.

Re: Question about not making the Minimum
I'm about 15 under my minimum and they are doing a fabulous desert presentation-flambe, bananas foster, and crepes to make up the difference. Plus they threw in menus on the guest's plates. They already threw in a chocolate fountain because of a small minor mishap when we were leaving the deposit. Some halls are willing to give you whatever you want others are not but it doesn't hurt to ask!

Re: Question about not making the Minimum
We were under by 13, they allowed us to include our vendors who were being fed, and the kids we invited and still charges us 1/2 price for the kids. They threw in an anti pasta at cocktail, we also got an extra pasta station at cocktail.
