Question about officiant??

Hi, I just got my first quote from an officiant and I'm surprised at how much it is but I'm not sure how much one generally costs...

Could you girls tell me what you've been quoted? It doesn't have to be for anyone specific but just the pricing you've heard so I can get a general picture? This price was for a 'Personal' written ceremony...

I paid either $350 or $400 -- can't remember. That was for a personal written ceremony, a printed out copy of our ceremony given to us the day of to keep in a binder, and she took care of mailing out the signed marriage license......

I believe that's average. I am paying less BUT when I was searching most of my quotes were at least 500.

Average is about $300-$800. We're paying $500 also.

I'm paying $375 (I think or somewhere around that price) and the ceremony is personalized. As soon as I booked he sent me a draft.

ours is 400 i think. for a semi- personalized. there are like 3 different packages.

My first quote was 600..i was shocked. I ended up paying 400.

I never realized it could be so much! I'd still like to be paying 400$ or less for a semi personalized interfaith ceremony... Any suggestions?

I was searching for an officiant too and did not want to pay that high. We are getting married at East Wind which is the town of Riverhead. I contacted the Town and they said they have a councilman that does ceremonies. He is doing it for us for no charge. I suggest you contact your local Town marriage license department and they should be able to refer you to someone. He will also do any ceremony that we would like as he has done many weddings before.

Pastor april is the one who gave me the $500 quote, and she's SLCCs recommended

I've heard nothing but amazing things about Pastor April!! Did you actually meet with her in person yet?

Pastor April has different options. I choose to skip the meeting and we did everything over the phone. She was absolutely amazing and I would have not changed a thing. She wrote the most beautiful ceremony and I got so many compliments. I paid $400.00 and it was worth every cent.
