Question about Photographers/Videographers

From reading some of the posts on here I've noticed that some of the ladies on here hired a separate videographer than the company they hired to be their photographer. I'm just curious as to why you decided to do it separate and not just book them together? Did either give you a hard time when you told them you already had someone in mind for the other? Thanks!

Question about Photographers/Videographers

I'm in the middle of this right now. Lighthouse is our photographer, but we just can't afford them for video. Plus I don't like that we couldn't pick the songs we wanted for the feature film. We met with Jessica from Capture the Moment when we were photographer hunting and LOVED her videos, but loved Lighthouse's photos more. So now we're meeting with her again next week to go over things and book her for video. She understands and gets it, the majority of her business is video. But FH wants to meet with her again just to make sure she's not bitter toward us lol

Question about Photographers/Videographers

Originally we wanted video but didn't think we had room in the budget. We booked Lighthouse for photo, but soon realized how badly we wanted video. Lighthouse's video is pretty pricy so we started looking into videographers that were more affordable. We ended up booking video with capture the moment!

Question about Photographers/Videographers

Our photographer doesn't do video so that wasn't an issue. When we met with Capture the Moment for video we already had the photographer and there were no hard feelings at all! It actually never crossed my mind that she would be insulted we weren't using her for photo because she was that awesome to book with.

This! I have the exact same scenario. We booked Lighthouse for photo and loved their video but couldn't afford it. We checked out CTM for photo and video but only booked with them for video. Jessica was an absolutely sweetheart and didn't seem bitter at all. I am completely comfortable with the decision and know I will love the outcome!
