Question about postponing weddings

I know that a lot of brides have had to do this for one reason or another, it breaks my heart to think we may have to, but do vendors tend to work w/ you on that? What has other brides experiences been?

My catering hall is giving me a hard time, but I talked to other brides who postponed there and didn't have a hard time, so I'm going to talk to a manager and see what happens, they jury is out. I think as long as you have more than a year and you're sticking with the same vendor/package it should be ok..but you never know.

We had to postpone our wedding because my husband started a new job that took him out of town for six months. We had to change halls, but the rest of our vendors worked with us without any problem at all. And we did all this just two months before the original date. Good luck.

Your hall woudn't work with you?

Well, I s/w FH and we decided against postponing it because that does not solve our problem...and may actually make things worse believe it or not. Things are getting really stressful (nwr, just life related), and I am trying to figure out ways to make things a little easier. Thanks girls for replying!

Her original hall was one wedding at a time - and i think they were booked for the new date, if i recall correctly.
