Re: question about registering
We got the Henckels Professional S knives. We didn't get these steak knives in this picture though. We got other Henckels steak knives that came in a nice case. We love, love, love our knives - I enjoy cooking so much better!
henckles and wustof are the best- it should say ' forged'

Re: question about registering
Wusthof Classic:
8 inch utility carving knife and fork 9 inch bread knife 3.5 inch paring knife (I already own a Wusthof classic 6 inch utility knife, which is why we didn't register for one)
Also, a knife sharpener
We plan to register for steak knives as well

We got the Henckels Fine Edge Pro 7 Piece Set. I love, love, love these knives!
We did not register for knives because FMIL is supersticious and said that every ribbon that is cut and every knife you get is another year that you wont have children. And because FI is the only one to carry on his last name, all the little italian women would freak. So no knives for me.

OMG I've never heard of that! So are you just not supposed to get knives as a gift from someone else or do you have to wait until after the wedding? Superstitions are crazy things!
NO WAY!!!!!! You are totally freaking me out! Have you gotten them yet? I've had mine for a couple of months already and LOVE them. They are so lightweight, it's unbelievable.

Nope not yet.. its on our registery. Jim and I LOOOVE to cook.. it's where we whine about the day and 'talk' ya know?
Then we go back to the room.. him to his palm pilot or TV, me to the LIweddings...
Those knives look so elegant and solid we have to have them!

Re: question about registering
We love to cook, too, but our kitchen is way too small for the two of us to cook together. Not so much size wise, although it is small, but because we're both control freaks when it comes to cooking and we just can't seem to stay out of each other's way. Not good to p*ss each other off whilst wielding knives, you know?
You're going to love the knives when you do get them.
