question about registering for china

How many place settings did you girls register for when you picked out your china? Im thinking I put down for too many and I dont want people to think Im greedy. But yet I want to have enough for my immediate family and FH's.

I have a huge family and FH's parents are divorced.

we registered for and got 12, but I may go back and pick up two add'l place settings after the wedding.

it depends on how big your family is.

We registered for 12 also, FH gave me a hard time b/c he said 8 would be fine but if we had just ourselves, his parents and brothers, that would use up all settings..........boys don't know anything.
