How many place settings did you girls register for when you picked out your china? Im thinking I put down for too many and I dont want people to think Im greedy. But yet I want to have enough for my immediate family and FH's.

we did 12. I know some people that did as many as 14. Nobody will think you are greedy. I worried about that too, I registered for so many expensive things that I'd never buy for myself!

We did 12...I have a big family so if we wind up hosting any holidays I will need that many for the adults...the kids will have to suffer with everyday dishes.

Re: question about registering for china
I'm registered for 16 place settings...FH has 4 older brothers, and I have 1 older brother...all ofour siblings are married and hav kids...even if 2 or 3 of our siblings are invited to our house along with our parents, we'll easily have 12-16 people!

Re: question about registering for china
i registered for 16 because the set i picked came in an 8-setting box - so i got two, instead of selecting the individual pieces to make it 16. FH has a big family, and i know when it's time for us to start hosting holidays and stuff i will need it.

Re: question about registering for china
JEEZ with our families if FH and mine got together i would have to register for 18...
I feel like china is waaay expensive.. The set I like is like 200 bucks for each setting... and it not even a fine china.. its casual china... Is that normal?
