Question about sending STD cards

Question about sending STD cards

I've ordered 100 STD postcards which should be arriving soon. I'm creating a list of who we're sending them to...of course OOT guests will get them, and some of our friends who live in the NYC area too.

I'm going to skip our aunts & uncles because a) they're in the area and they're not likely to have anything else to do on our wedding date and b) they have no clue what a STD card is (they're over 55 years old and all came from Greece about 30 years ago).

My question is, can I still send to our cousins even if I'm not sending to their parents? I just think the cousins will get more or a kick out of the STD...I'm worried that Ill be bombarded with phone calls of the following nature: 'My mom didn't get a postcard, does that mean that she's not invited?'

I think if you send it to your cousins you should send it to your aunts and uncles also. They will feel left out or like they are not invited.

I had a similar dilemma and just ended up sending them to everyone- most of my family had no idea what STD's were either (frankly neither did I till FH's mom told me what they were..lol).

To avoid that just send them to everyone that is invited to make sure that they know.

You pretty much answered that question yourself. If your cousins get a STD then chances are,, their parents will wonder why they didn't get one. Save yourself the grief and just keep it to your OOT guests and your friends.
You'll thank yourself for one less frantic phone call from Aunt So&So later.
