i want cocktail legnth dresses for my girls but the dress i plan to order is tea legnth (satin bill levkoff)

bridal reflections told me it's standard practice to order tea length and have it altered down to cocktail

but im ordering my dresses from somewhere else

is this true?

has anyone else done this?

yes it makes sense. Women are all different porportion wise, like you may have a lady with long legs and another with short, yet the same height. Its also better to do it this way to insure the dress is not too short.

i did it a few months ago with a dessy dress. i took it to a tailor by my hose and did a lil prayer..cuz i did it 3 days b4 a wedding

turned out greatt
