Did any of you feel kind of stiffed at your shower? I really hate to post this..but half of the things i registered for weren't bought....china, flatware, crystal, vaccuum, pots and pans..etc..I didn't get any of these items..and i found out the two of the girls in my bp spent $30!! I hope im not sounding materialistic and selfesh..but there were alot of useful items (some pricier than others that were not bought)

Re: question about shower?
IMO, if I get anything for my shower, that is more than I expected. Not trying to sound nasty, but it sounds greedy. You can't expect certain gifts.

I'm not afraid to say that I totally understand where you're coming from! I don't think it is materialistic or selfish of you!

I think that a lot of the brides on here are quick to judge someone else even though they are probably feeling the same way...often times it is just to stir up a little drama and make you feel like a jerk for even *thinking* of posting something like this! Of course everyone is thankful for what they received!

Re: question about shower?
It's quite alright to be dissapointed - even if it is a little 'selfish' There will always be a little kid inside of us that really wanted that damn Barbie Dream Duplex but got the cruddy footie pajamas.
But at the same time I see where you're coming from - you're probably more upset that your BP isn't coming together for you and that's just making you feel worse.

Like I said your not being selfish you are just hurt, by some of the girls in your bridal party!
Im sorry to hear that you are disapointed, this should be one of the happiest times in your life!

Re: question about shower?
It totally understand how you feel. I found out that my surprise shower is on Saturday, and many of those items still haven't been bought off my registry, and I am not ashamed to admit, yes, I'm disappointed!
