anyhoo, the evil beast's shower is in 2 weeks (god help us all) and she is convinced that nobody is going to give her any gifts, b/c there is a ton of stuff left on the registrys. i say that people wait until the last minute and then go out and buy. so here is my question, when you get invited to a shower (bridal or baby) when do you normally buy the gift? for arguments sake its not for a sibling or a really close family member

It depends. If its a close friend, i do it RIGHT AWAY bc i want to get something good. If Im not too close, I prob wait forever

I wait until last minute all the time. My friends engagement party is coming up and I am making it a point to go out soon to purchase gift so I have a choice

I wait til the last minute, I procrasinate. Which is bad but I do it. My friend keeps checking her registry and was telling me the other day how there are still lots of stuff on there left. Meanwhile her shower is this weekend. Which she doesn't know because its a surprise. I told her that alot of people wait until the last minute to buy stuff. But she's thinking that her shower is not going to be until like June since there is lots of stuff still left. I think that's a good example of how people wait. Unless no one is going to buy her anything!

I have to be honest, if it's nobody I am really close with, I wait until last minute. I don't mean to do it, it just always happens that way!!! I'm such a procrastinator (sp?).....

99.9% of the time I get something off there reg. unless its someone I hate and then I will re gift ..... But I do it when ever I get the chance .....so that could be like the morning of the party ....
