Question about shuttle bus when booked at La Quinta

I know you get the shuttle with every 15 rooms you book. But I was wondering the shuttle only holds about 15 people right?
I think I remember asking if we could pay to get another shuttle and I think they said it was $100 extra?! Not bad. All I know is I will definitely have more than just 15 people at the hotel. Alone my family (parents/brothers/sisters) is 8 so that doesn't leave much more room.
But just wondering if anyone else knew about this?! Oh and when our quests get to the hotel to drop off their cars and want to get to JT for the reception is the shuttle there for them to use?! Because I thought for every 15 rooms you get a ride to JT and back included right?
Sorry I just hate waiting for people to call me back. I called about 2 times already waiting to hear back from Makita

She just cam back from maternity leave and she is only working part time now.
email is the best way to reach her. everyone else is clueless.

I will tell you all once again to call Makita. What they have to tell you and what they might actually do for you is very different. I was told we would only get 1 round trip for 15 rooms blocked HOWEVER I also have guests staying as long as a week. She explained to us that if we make arrangements in advance there may be a small fee for the use of the shuttle on days other than the wedding.
You can all hash it out here, or, you can call and speak to La Quinta directly.
Telling her 'I heard blah blah blah' will not get you anywhere. Ask her a bunch of what if's, tell her you situation and exactly what you want/need and ask for her help. That is what we did. She is taking very good care of us.
i know this. but i called her twice in one week and waiting for a call back so i decided to ask everyone who is booked maybe they already know. plus my guests are only staying one night the night of the wedding. i only have a couple OOT people and they are an uncle/cousins and an aunt and her bf. and they are staying with family members the rest of the time they are on LI. So that doesnt matter for me. Plus I was told for an extra $100 they would provide an extra RT ride but I still don't know if that would fit plus my guest would be waiting around
Have you considered calling a car service? It's a toal of 6 miles round trip to JT. Surely, it wouldn't be more than 25$ a car, or less even. Call Francesca and ask her for car service info!

Just saw this thread. I feel like I'm totally behind on booking roooms. I don't need 15 though..maybe 5-10.

It's a 14-passenger van and you get 1 RT for every 15 rooms blocked. You might want to consider using the credit for a guest room for you and FH rather then the shuttle and contact your limo company for a shuttle because they'll make multiple trips.
Yes... This is what I was told too. Makeda did say that we could hire a few additional shuttles, but I know it was more than $100. We just went on our own and got a coach bus from Coach USA (better quote directly to us than through our limo company). Alert busses also has a good reputation & good prices- but they were booked for my date.
Also, Makeda is at another La Quinta until the 10th I think (that's what it said on her email). I have emailed with Kirsten Norris this week [email protected] - she is also knowlegeable & responsive via email.
