I'll be heading over to a post office as soon as I can (probably next week) but I wanted to know if anyone knows about mailing square invites.
My envelopes are 6.5'x6.5' and weigh 2.1 oz (dang that .1 oz!) so my postage meter tells me I need $.75 in postage. Sounds good, right? Well, the thing is, because they are square, do they need ADDITIONAL postage? They are not too thick and they are flat (no bulges).
Of course a post office would give me the most accurate answer, but I wanted to have an idea of cost etc. Thanks ladies!

mine are 1oz but bc they are square they told me it will cost .97!!! at first they told me .58, then i pointed out the shape and they said .97!! argh!

If it's 1.1 oz to 2.0 oz, it's $.58 per envelope. I know that much. But sheeeesh, $.97? We already know that zazzle doesn't have that postage denomination!!!

Mine were square 7x7 and required only the $.63 stamp - Which I beleive is $.58 now....

I think your postage will be over $1 per invite b/c they are considered a large envelope and over 2 ounces. I used the calculator on the usps website and it comes out to $1.14

Mine are the same size as yours and I had to pay the extra because of that size not because of the weight so yes they will be more.. sorry

actually sorry I meant to say mine were a little smaller then that and I had to pay extra for the size

Thats what mine are!!! No fair! I wonder if it was supposed to be .97 and they let it go b/c the postage change was confusing everyone...

Just purchased my stamps and my 7x7 square cards were $0.97 and I purchased the $1.00 stamps to avoid putting 2 stamps on my envelope.

I ordered the $1.11 stamp from Zazzle, the post office told me $.97 b/c irregular size. Here's my stamp
