Question about STAR!!

I heard that you have to send in two utility bills of your new home, the cutoff is january 5th I think and we are closing in a month from now, how can I get two bills in 2 weeks,

?

Does this mean I have to wait another year for it or is there something else I can do?

where is the house? I think 1/5 is NYC - some parts of Suffolk are 3/5/05

yes if you miss the deadline you miss out for over a year

You don't to send in any utility bills. I went down to town hall the day we after we moved in with my completed application. Depending on your town, it will take effect in '05 or '06 - contact your town for that info.

I just spoke to someone yesterday from the assessment dept. I'm in Suffolk county (Brookhaven) and was told I needed to bring our driver's license and the deed.
